From Pax Americana to a Multipolar Order

As part of the fourth lecture of the Belgrade School of Geopolitics, held on May 14, Prof. Dr. Dušan Proroković spoke about the transformation of the international order - from the period of American dominance after the Cold War to the contemporary world of increasingly pronounced multipolarity.

The lecture focused on the analysis of changes in the distribution of global power, with particular emphasis on the role of great powers, military expenditures, economic indicators, the rise of China, the position of Russia, as well as shifts in the balance of power between NATO, BRICS, the SCO, and the European Union. Through comparative data on military, economic, and institutional power, the lecture demonstrated how the structure of the world order is gradually changing and how former unipolarity is giving way to a more complex system of international relations.
